Trip to Minnesota

Hi Everyone!

Wow! What a weeks it's been! I got to take a 15 hour road trip with my whole family to Minnesota! We had a great time! I met all sorts of new friends and family, including my GREAT Grandma and Grandpa Berke, lots of Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and other family members who have more complicated titles. Everyone was so nice to me - I hardly saw my mom and dad or sat by myself the whole week. Everyone just loved and hugged on me all week!

We had a celebration for my Grandpa Jim, who passed away in January. We celebrated at Great Aunt Shel and Unkie Blake's house, then again at Lake Ottertail. This was a place my Grandpa Jim went every summer with his family. They have a cabin on the lake. We took a boat ride and lazed around on the beach. It was so fun! I even put my toes in the water!

Some of the other fun things we did while we were visiting included taking a trip to the Mall of America! Mommy said it's like 'Heaven on Earth' and I agree! Lego land was amazing! I also liked the roller coasters but I have to wait until I'm older to ride on them. Unkie Blake also poured a concrete block for the kids to make hand prints in. All the grandkids wrote their names and ages, then stuck their hands (I did my foot) in it. That was so special!

We also celebrated Mom's 30th birthday. Aunt Shel surprised her with a cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday. It was pretty cool!

The best part of the trip was taking the airplane home with Mom! We decided it would be better for everyone if we flew home instead of taking the looooonng 15 hour car ride back to Colorado. I did great! I fell asleep on Mommy's lap and slept the whole way! I loved the sound of the roaring engine, it's so soothing!

What a fun adventure! I LOVE vacation!
