Baby Harris: Winter is HERE! ...... may she be mild and fun!

It's officially my least favorite part of the year - when the cold sticks around, it's extra chilly and harder to get places, more clothing must be worn, but always fun to be had! I know, confusing.....

I also love this time of year for the Stock Show! I love skiing, warm drinks, and family time! Yes, you can have all those in summer too, but it's just different.

It's been especially mild this winter - very little snow in the city, warmer temps, and dry conditions. While I'm totally fine with this, it is worrisome for our fire danger.

Enough about the weather......

Finding things to do inside is easy. So is heading to the mountains to bundle up, find some snow, and have fun outside! We are spoiled, no doubt. What I am totally in LOVE with this season is how our young boys love to adventure just as much as we do! They are always up for a challenge, they get just as excited as we do for our next outing, and we all leave with our cups full and hearts feeling loved. See below......... you'll see what I mean.

Our Uncle Evan is a networker (it's part of his job). Having him as our Uncle gives us some perks! We are SO lucky to be spoiled with this fun perk: Monster Jam tickets and the BEST seats in the house. Now, this isn't a bragging moment - more like a 'wow, we are lucky moment' Yes, this doesn't happen to just anyone, and our hearts are grateful. But what a COOL way to see a show!!!

I mentioned 'escaping' to the mountains to find the snow. We did just that and took our snow gear up to Beaver Creek. It was Mom and the Boys first time. Dad had a business meeting up there, so us boys explored and ate yummy food. We lounged, swam, and played in the snow. What a cool town!

Stock show is our favorite time of year! Well..... mine anyway. I love going to the show and dressing in our cowboy gear! Some things never change, I guess. Well, now I get to drag.... I mean take..... my sweet boys and show them why I love this place so much! The smells, the sounds, the horses, lights, food, and boots!! YES!

Not so sure about this....... oh well! Still fun!

Another fun trip for us is always Winter Park. We are still learning how to ski and perfecting our 'pizza stance' but on warm days we have SO much fun! Riding the lift is definitely Cohen's favorite part - for now. My guess is, when he gets really good and fast at skiing, the lift will be secondary. Evan isn't quite as sure, but always uses his grit and strength to make things work! He is strong and can almost ski by himself.... just a year or so longer and we'll all be 'shreddin' the big mountain!
