I'm a BIG Brother!!

Hey Everyone!
Holy Moly!  Have I got news for you!!!  Yep, that's right - I'm A BIG BROTHER!!!  While I don't really know what that will entail, I can tell you I'm not so sure about this new title.  All the sudden, everyone I know is asking me, "Are you a big brother??" or "Is this your new baby Brother?" or "Do you love your new Baby??"  While I think he's neat and all, I'm just not sure I LOVE having him around.  He takes up a LOT of play time with mommy!  And he makes some weird noises!  The worse part is I am told to 'be gentle' and 'don't hit' or 'don't touch' A LOT.  I feel like I can't touch anything now without getting told not to!  It's just not fair.

So, for now, I, Cohen James, am signing off as writer of this blog and turning that job over to my Mommy.  She will fill you in the details of this new BROTHER thing.  See ya! (my new favorite phrase :-).

Hey there Everyone!
Brittnie here, taking over for Cohen who is just too busy to keep you all in the loop.  He is busy doing 21 month old things like Jumping off the couch, riding his trike, or trying to 'burp' his new baby Brother.  He is talking a ton and is really starting to understand what we say.  While he doesn't always do what he's asked (I say 'come here' and he runs the other direction) he is getting the hang of using words to say what he needs.  It's amazing how 'spongey' their little brains are!  Speaking of Baby Brother......

Evan Allan Ralph Harris was born into this world and our wonderful family on January 20th, 2013.  He weighed in at a big 6 lbs 7 oz, 20 inches long.  He is healthy and content being part of our clan and is really adorable!  He looks much different than Cohen did at first.  He has my shaped face, dark brown 'hair,' and really looks much more like me.  Woo Hoo!  His name is significant in our family - Evan is his Uncle's name (Nate's brother), Allan is after my paternal Grandpa Kagen, and Ralph is after 2 Grandpas, Nate's Maternal Grandpa Berke, and my Maternal Grandpa Woodward.  We like to keep it in the family.

Labor went well!  It took about 5 hours start to finish with little complications.  We are both still getting to know each other and are trying our best to get lots of sleep and rest.  I am recovering well, they say 2nd time around is easier and I'd have to agree with 'them.'  Nate and Cohen are doing great too - their support and love is always unconditional and so genuine.  Nate is absolutely amazing.  His passion for being a Dad and really stepping up to the plate during labor and afterward is one reason I love him SO much!  I couldn't do this without him and am SO thankful for all he does.

Welcome to the Boys Club!  HA!
