Merry Christmas!
We are so excited this year for a number of reasons.... first and foremost it's because we are so unbelieveably blessed! I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not dreaming. There have been some really hard months mixed in with many more fun and healthy months, so I am really counting our blessings this year.
We are also excited for Christmas! It's really really fun being on the 'parent' side of Christmas, and while I don't want to hurry my kids growth, I LOVE how into the holidays they are this year. Everytime we go to the store Cohen says, 'Mom, can we go look at Christmas??" It's really cute to see his eyes light up with the sight of trees, tinsle, gifts, red, and green.
This year, Santa came and delivered us a drumset! It was really cool! We set it up in the basement and wish we had a way to drown out the noise now.... haha! It was a great gift in theory, but maybe needed in about 5 years. He also brought some other fun things for each boy - big boy undies and a shovel for Cohen, and some little people stuff for Evan. Overall, it was a small and quiet Christmas, adjusting to our families 'new normal' and making sure we stay grounded and thankful. I couldn't ask for anything better!
The BEST part of the day was when our sweet Baby Evan stood up and walked his first steps! It was so quick and easy, like he'd been walking for years! No help from Mom or Dad, just up and at 'em! I was such a proud Mama!
Here are a few pictures of the day!
