Hoppy Easter 2015

Hello!
Happy Spring!  Well.... almost.  It seems like Easter gets earlier and earlier in the month every year, and this year was really early.  BUT the weather was awesome!  We had a great week getting ready to celebrate Easter.

We started the week off with an Easter Egg hunt with our friends.... it was COLD!  We tried to stay and play but the wind was miserable and we had to get to the car quick to get our candy!  It was fun though, we found a lot of neat treasures!  And, since we are some of the older kids of the bunch we got to be a little more 'assertive', haha!  What I mean is, every other year we've had to really stick together and 'hunt' hard for eggs.  This year, since the boys are a little older, they were able to spot eggs easily and go for it!  So fun!

We also got to dye Easter Eggs with our cousins and the Giordano's!  This was a highlight for me, Mom, as it's been a looooooooooong time since I've dyed Eggs.  While the boys aren't super into 'crafts' they did participate a little.... and by a little it went something like this; sit the boys down, quick grab an egg while asking about their color choice, plop it into the dye and the boys were off to play with their cousins!  I would sit there and mess with the eggs, making sure they were doing what they needed to do, then I would get a wild hair and decorate a few with clear crayon to make fun designs.  It was all in a days work.  BUT the boys did enjoy eating the dyed eggs.... they thought that was pretty cool!

We spent Easter Day celebrating with family.  We ate our annual brunch, WAY too much food and hunted for eggs again in the grass.  We had a great group this year and fun time playing and giggling.  I'm SO thankful for close family.... our adventures just wouldn't be the same without them.

A rare sitting to dye eggs moment.... le sigh

Showing Evan what happens to the egg when it goes into the dye!  He's thrilled....
